ABOUT ME

My name is Ethan Phillip Lareau, I am 16 years old and a Junior at Burr and Burton. I have grown up surrounded by nature, my Dad is a forester, and has always tried to get me interested in the world around me, and it has worked. Some of my favorite things to do are hiking, mountain biking, and just exploring, but more recently I have found a real passion for cameras, I love taking pictures and capturing special moments in time. Now I want to capture consecutive moments in time and create films that show people how wonderful the world is around us.

Boy Scouts

I have spent 7 years participating in Scouting activities all over the state of Vermont and New England, even traveling to the West Virginia to camp for 10 days. I have slowly worked my way up through the ranks, from the rank of Scout to the rank of Life. I have enjoyed every minute of the experience.

Employment

I have worked for my Dad at his business, Lareau Woodland Services, for 5 years. Maintaining recreational trails, improving wildlife habitat, creating more appealing properties, and improving overall forest health. I pride myself on my work and love what I do. I want to Study Forestry at UVM and move to the management side of things in the future.

Mountain Biking

I have enjoyed mountain biking sine I was younger than 4. You could always find me on a bike when I was younger. I started racing at the age of 15, doing local enduro races and participating on the Burr Burton Mountain Bike Team. It's an expensive hobby to have, but in my opinion it is definitely worth it. You can never have a bad time on two wheels...
